Board of Directors & Committees

As a Board of Directors, we are committed to the safety and security of all homeowners and guests, the continual beautifying our Development, as well operating in a fashion to maintain all resident home values. 
 
The Board of Directors depends on resident volunteers to be part of the Board of Directors or Ad Hoc Committees to carry out the work of this Homeowners Association effectively and efficiently.  Ad Hoc Committees appointed with a specific scope of responsibility for a limited duration.  Each committee works to propose recommendations to the Board, which accepts or rejects recommendations for implementation and follow up.

Committee members do research in their assigned areas, search out and formulate pertinent facts, identify and analyze the pros and cons of alternative options, and propose recommendations to the Board. In specific situations, committee members are asked to implement and follow up on accepted recommendations by the Board.

Board of Trustees Position Descriptions

President
• Prepare meeting agenda
• Preside over meetings
(board meetings and annual homeowner meeting)
• Appoint committees
• Execute contracts
• Perform day-to-day administration
• Act as spokesperson for the association

Secretary
• Maintain membership lists
• Give notice of mailings
• Keep meeting minutes
• Maintain association correspondence
• Preserve association history
• Provides “Welcome Packet” to all new homeowners and renters

Treasurer
• Understand financial accounting
• Review financial statements
• Prepare budgets
• Develop investment strategies
• Oversee tax filings and annual audits (works with CPA)  
• Report on the financial condition of the association

Grounds Maintenance/Landscape
• Maintains oversight for all landscaping and snow removal activities
 (point person between groundskeepers and snow removal team)
• Works with landscape and snow removal companies to submit quotes (for contract)
• Contacts landscaping and snow removal vendors for any homeowner or common area discrepancies
• Coordinates all repair and maintenance of common areas and brick walls.
• Overseas maintenance of detention basin
• Overseas maintenance of development sprinkler system

Architectural Review
• Is the point person for all homeowner building/add-on construction requests
• Reviews all requests against bylaws, rules, regulations and covenants
• Submits findings and recommendations to the board for any homeowner requests
• Reviews board findings with requesting homeowner
